I had this netbook for 2 weeks before it stopped booting. Froze page BIOS and did not find the boot sector of the operating system. Whether or not there was a loose connector on the hard disk. I called Acer tech support, but they told me to restore from recovery CD. I explained that since this was a Netbook that no optical drive included with the system. She told me to start the recovery partition, even after I explained that the system does not recognize the hard drive. Ultimately, he offered to send me netbooks in Texas for repair, but I refused. Since it was within the 30-day warranty through the J & R I returned the machine for a full refund, rather than risk something goes wrong.
A few other items that turned me off on this netbook was the key on the keyboard was flimsy. I would surf the Internet and the mouse cursor jumps into Google Chrome. This will cause the Web page to zoom in or out. Was easily solved in the browser, but it was a total annoyance. Even the sticker license version of Windows on the bottom of the netbook can not fully share the bottom. I suppose that this tape could be fixed. Even the memory of Commons, which comes with the device and DDR2 667MHz, even if the device supports 800MHz.
All said, I would be skeptical of the quality of construction and can not be romanticized by its specific awesome. I will wait for another manufacturer to release a netbook powerful as this.
